During your New Student Orientation (NSO) experience, you will register for your first year of classes and get a glimpse of what life is like on campus. You will also have the opportunity to: tour your residence hall, meet with staff from Financial Aid, learn about Move-in Weekend and Green and Gold Days, purchase your parking permit, and more. NSO is an in-person event that takes place on the main BHSU campus - located in Spearfish, South Dakota. Parents and family are welcome to attend NSO with their student. Some portions of the day will divide students and parents into separate sessions, specific to their unique needs. All attendees should plan to be present from approximately 8:30am-3:00pm Mountain Time.

Lunch Pricing & Options
Lunch will be served in the Hive and available for purchase in the way that’s most convenient for you:
  • Prepaid Lunch Tickets: $11 per person (immediately following this form)
  • Purchased Day-Of NSO event: $15 per person, purchased at the dining hall entrance.
“The Hive” is our campus dining hall, located in the BHSU Student Union. The Hive is an all-you-care-to-eat style dining hall featuring multiple daily feature options, a fresh salad bar and deli, and a dessert bar.
